I made the bulk of these paintings in 2016. The theme: “unimportant scenes from films I like (and one TV-series)”. The whole process started when I was commuting and accidentally paused the movie I was watching. The pause-frame was so perfect I just had to paint it. See if you can guess the films I’ve used as reference (spoiler at the bottom of this page). The titles might also give you a hint:
